Amsterdam Reclaimed Antique Oak Boards
This project involved the supply and installation of antique oak boards, remachined for width and prepared on the underside to create a stable and workable flooring material from 250-year-old French oak.
The boards were hand sanded to retain their authentic age and surface character, with the edges gently rounded to enhance individual board definition. The floor was then finished with a medium brown wax, building a traditional tone and soft sheen.
The result sits naturally within the interior, the variation in tone and texture working alongside the architectural features to create a balanced and cohesive setting without appearing overworked or uniform.
