Esher Oak Panels
This project in Esher, Surrey involved the supply of antique oak boarding, which was reworked and cut into a bespoke panel format to suit the proportions of the space.
The original aged surface was retained throughout, with only a light and considered restoration to preserve the existing patina and the mellow, time-worn tones of the oak. The panels were then finished with a brown wax, building a traditional depth of colour and a soft sheen.
The structured panel layout introduces a clear sense of order across the floor, while the variation within each element prevents it from feeling uniform, allowing the floor to sit comfortably within the interior and quietly underpin the overall scheme with texture and age.
