Ladbroke Grove Reclaimed Oak Chevron
This project in Ladbroke Grove, Central London, involved the supply and installation of a reclaimed oak chevron floor within a mid-Victorian property.
The material was cut from structural oak timbers salvaged from across Europe, left entirely ungraded to retain its full range of natural variation and character. This results in a floor with a distinctly rustic quality, set against the more formal and controlled geometry of the chevron format. The contrast between material and pattern gives the floor a strong visual presence, subtly referencing the refinement of a Parisian interior while maintaining a more grounded, irregular edge.
Within the space, it acts as both structure and surface—bringing movement, texture, and a sense of individuality that complements the period setting without feeling overly uniform or contrived.
