Weybridge Reclaimed Antique Oak Boards
The brief for this project in Weybridge, Surrey was to introduce a more traditional character to the interior of a newly built house.
We supplied and fitted an antique oak boarded floor, laid in a mixed width format with a combination of broad planks and long, flowing board lengths. The boards were restored with a measured and sympathetic approach, allowing the existing aged tones and natural patina to remain evident. Once installed, the floor was finished with several coats of brown wax and carefully polished to achieve a soft, traditional sheen.
The floor sits comfortably within the space, adding a sense of depth and quiet continuity that softens the contrast between the new structure and the more traditional detailing
